Classes

The Parent Workshop is a one-time, two hour, introductory class that teaches everything you need to know to get started with the Baby Signs® Program. You will learn:
- the history and research behind the Baby Signs® Program
- the benefits for you and your baby
- when to begin signing with your baby
- effective ways to teach signs at home and
- what to expect as your baby transitions from signs to speech
This class is geared towards adults and is recommended for parents and caregivers of children ages 0 to 2 ½ years or children who have difficulty communicating.
Parents who attend the Parent Workshop also receive the Baby Signs® Parent Kit to supplement learning and teaching at home.

The Sign, Say & Play™ Class is a 6-week play class for parents and their babies. Each class:
- highlights signs that are most important in the lives of babies
- teaches signing through fun games with BeeBo™ the Baby Signs® Bear
- provides signing practice through delightful Baby Signs® songs
- introduces play activities that reinforce important language, cognitive and social- emotional skills
- brings families together to share their signing experiences
- covers signs from the everyday themes of mealtime, bedtime, bathtime, pets, at the park, and getting dressed.
This play class is designed for parents and children ages 6 months to 2 ½ years. Each family receives the exciting Sign, Say & Play™ Starter Kit with fun and colorful products geared towards your baby.

The MORE Sign, Say & Play™ classes are an extension of our Sign, Say & Play™ classes for babies and parents. These classes follow the familiar Sign, Say & Play™ format. Each class:
- highlights signs that are most important in the lives of babies
- teaches signing through fun games with BeeBo™ the Baby Signs® Bear
- provides signing practice through delightful Baby Signs® songs
- introduces play activities that reinforce important language, cognitive and social- emotional skills
- brings families together to share their signing experiences
- covers signs from the important themes of feelings, outside, safety, farm, zoo and birthday.
This play class is designed for parents and children ages 8 months to 2 ½ years who have previous signing experience. Each family receives the delightful MORE Sign, Say & Play™ Kit to enhance your babies signing experience at home.

The Baby Signs® Early Childhood Educator Training gives caregivers the ability to teach babies to communicate their needs, wants, and feelings before they have developed the skills necessary for verbal communication. These workshops are based on the work of Dr. Linda Acredolo and Dr. Susan Goodwyn, authors of the best-selling book, BABY SIGNS: How to Talk with Your Baby Before Your Baby Can Talk, and is supported by 20 years of research.
An Independent Certified Instructor will come to your center to present the training and teach caregivers how to use the resource materials. There are 3 levels of training to choose from and all of them incorporate how teachers can use the Baby Signs® Program to address the areas of cognitive, physical, social, emotional, and language development within their current curriculum.
Your staff will learn the about the research which supports teaching babies to sign, why it works, when to start, and how to choose and teach signs.
